Virtual and augmented reality

Virtual spaces are possible now in a way that they were never before. Any setting, location or environment is possible, with modes of user interaction that are free from the constraints of things like gravity and geography.

Designing virtual experiences is a radically new discipline not well reflected in traditional user experience practices employed in desktop or mobile design.

Rather, it is a discipline more akin to product design, where the user is being exposed to multiple modes of sensory input and spatial cues which must be mediated and modulated for an effective user experience.

Composit has been researching best practices and producing virtual reality experiences since 2014, since the current wave of consumer virtual reality tech made its big comeback.

Are you a manufacturer or supplier to the Architectural, Design and Construction industry?

What would you show to your customers if you knew you had 100% of their attention?

Showroom is a VR native platform that allows you to step inside a realistic, interactive virtual space that has the ability to showcase your products in true-to-life, immersive 3D.

In the design and construction trade, scale is everything. There simply is no substitute for being able to inspect a product close up, in glorious detail and at the correct scale. That light you thought was massive? Well, in a big room, it doesn’t look so big any more, does it?

The mission of Showroom is simple - using Virtual Reality to give specifiers the tools to make decisions quicker and with more confidence.

We’ve all had buyer’s remorse. In the commercial world, the stakes are high if we make the wrong decision. Often products look great on a pinterest board but fall short of our expectations in reality.

Research has shown that using VR can boost the speed and value of decisions in a sales environment.

In Showroom we marry AAA quality digital artistry with Industry specific knowledge and best-practice VR design.

And as a manufacturer or supplier you now have the ability to take your entire product catalog with you, wherever you go.

Suppliers now have a viable alternative to shipping samples around the world, drastically reducing costs, labor effort and carbon output.

Using virtual reality, we can finally give our customers the tools to make decisions quicker and with more confidence.

Our work

Recreation and learning can be the same thing. While we’ve produced games as well as educational experiences, VR lends itself to business cases where logistics and safety issues can make real-world training scenarios not feasible. This has made VR training popular for plant traning and mining simulations.

Composit has produced industrial simulations that take people where they would not normally go ie. transporting office workers underground in central Queensland amid heavy industry.

With a team comprised of 3D artsists who build all the models and environments necessary to furnish a virtual world, and the programmers who bring them to life, we can produce volumetric realities limited only by your imagination.
