Manufacturing Skills Queensland: Career Pathways VR

We partnered with Manufacturing Skills Queensland (MSQ) to create a series of interactive VR experiences aimed at introducing high school students to real career pathways in the manufacturing industry.

Community collaboration

This project was built on strong community collaboration. Through MSQ, we connected with local manufacturing businesses and spoke directly with their young employees to hear how they got started in their careers.

Employee storytelling

Their stories became the foundation for a collection of short VR scenarios designed to let students explore key manufacturing roles first-hand—from operating machinery to managing logistics on the factory floor.

Immersive experience design

By weaving procedural tasks and day-in-the-life insights into cohesive, story-driven interactive sessions, we let students step into realistic workplace environments to see exactly how each role functions.

Outcomes and impact

Virtual reality has proven to be a powerful way to spark interest and engagement. It removes the abstract nature of career advice and replaces it with active discovery. By offering hands-on insights into local jobs, we’re helping students make more informed decisions about their futures—and helping industry build a pipeline of enthusiastic, capable new talent.
